The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has released Polytechnic Lecturers (Engineering and Non – Engineering) recruitment notification to appoint candidates in the Government Polytechnic Colleges. There are 869 posts in various branches. More number of vacancies are available in Civil Engineering (133), Electrical Engineering (138), Mechanical Engineering (138), Electronics and Communications Engineering (130), English (60), Mathematics (55) etc. Physics and Chemistry have 60 posts each. Following are details of posts in all the subjects / branches, qualification, selection process, exam pattern and application procedure:

Educational Qualification:

For all Engineering posts except Garment and Ceramic Technology, candidates must possess a First Class Bachelor Degree in the appropriate Branch of Engineering / Technology (BE / B.Tech). The degree should be recognised by AICTE. For Garment and Ceramic Technology vacancies, applicants need a first class Bachelors Degree in Textile Technology / Ceramic Technology or its equivalent degrees / certifications

Selection of the candidates will be based on written examination and interviews. Following is the examination scheme:
1) Part -A Objective type written examination:

Paper 1: General Studies and Mental Ability : 150 questions / 150 marks / 150 minutes
Paper 2: Concerned Subject: 150 questions / 300 marks / 150 minutes

2) Part – B (Oral Test (Interview for 50 marks)

Important Dates:

1) Last date for the payment of fee: 4th December 2012
2) Commencement of Online applications: 6th November 2012
3) Last date for online applications: 6th December 2012
4) Written examination date: 6th January 2013.
